Tyler Johnson and Grant Fuhr join Kraken broadcast panel
Johnson’s first appearance is set for Wednesday against Calgary, with Fuhr scheduled to join the panel later in November.
The Seattle Kraken are adding Tyler Johnson and Grant Fuhr to the Kraken Hockey Network’s studio panel, the club announced. Both will appear on selected broadcasts when Brett Festerling is away.
Johnson is scheduled to begin Wednesday when Seattle hosts Calgary, followed by another appearance against the New York Rangers on Nov. 7. Fuhr’s first two broadcasts are set for Nov. 23 and 25. Ian Furness and Alison Lukan remain the regular panel members.
Johnson attended the NHL’s broadcast training camp in New York in July. Kraken broadcast executive Ryan Schaber contacted him after learning he had taken part, leading to the new role.
Fuhr already works on broadcasts for Seattle’s AHL affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. His experience following the organization’s prospects will be part of what he brings to the Kraken panel.
