Fans in Helsinki will have a free gathering place for the Carolina Hurricanes–Seattle Kraken Global Series games: the NHL announced a Fan Fest at Narinkkatori running Nov. 12–14.
The programme includes more than 25 activities, with hockey challenges, trivia and competitions alongside appearances by alumni and mascots. Visitors will also have opportunities to see the Stanley Cup.
The programme also extends to Veikkaus Arena, where fans can watch both teams practise on Nov. 13. The arena lists Carolina’s session at approximately 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and Seattle’s at 12:45–2:15 p.m., all local times. One practice ticket covers both sessions; admission to the games requires separate tickets.
Both NHL games will be shown at the festival. The Nov. 12 game begins at 7 p.m. local time, and the Nov. 14 game starts at 8 p.m.
The league lists opening hours of 4 p.m. through the end of the game screening on Thursday, 4–9 p.m. on Friday, and noon through the end of the game screening on Saturday. The schedule and appearances are subject to change.
Pacific North Hockey reported in September that travelling Kraken supporters would have access to a free Global Fan Fest with hockey activities. The NHL’s latest announcement sets out the three-day programme in the city centre.
