What's newThe NHL confirmed Catton entered the zone offside and the clock was reset to 5:13 in the first period.

Matty Beniers finished a breakaway 55 seconds into overtime to give the Seattle Kraken a 2-1 home victory over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.

Brandon Montour intercepted a Calgary pass and sent Beniers in alone. His wrist shot beat Dustin Wolf to complete Seattle’s comeback at Climate Pledge Arena.

Yegor Sharangovich put the Flames ahead in the first period by deflecting Zach Whitecloud’s shot. A Calgary offside challenge erased an apparent equalizer from Berkly Catton just over two minutes later. The NHL Situation Room determined that Catton had crossed the attacking blue line ahead of the puck. The clock was reset to 5:13 remaining in the period, when the offside occurred.

Catton scored again in the second period, this time keeping the goal. Mackie Samoskevich set him up on the rush for a shot over Wolf’s glove.

Joey Daccord stopped 25 shots for Seattle, while Wolf made 27 saves for Calgary.
