The Nashville Predators face the San Jose Sharks at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, Oct. 15, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. Nashville is looking to respond after Vegas ended its four-game point streak with a 5-2 win on Tuesday.

Puck management was a priority at Wednesday’s practice. In the Predators’ official preview, coach Andrew Brunette said turnovers had undermined his team against Vegas. Centre Jack Drury also called for sharper execution throughout the lineup.

The club reported no changes to its forward combinations or defence pairings at practice. Mavrik Bourque did not skate and remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

San Jose has lost three of its past four games, including Tuesday’s 6-3 defeat against Boston. ESPN’s Thursday preview noted that the Sharks were coming off consecutive home losses.

Steven Stamkos leads Nashville with seven points through six games, according to the club and ESPN. His three goals match Adam Edstrom and Nils Hoglander for the team lead. Roman Josi has a goal and five assists. Edstrom scored shorthanded against Vegas, his first career goal in that situation, the Predators reported.
