Michael DiPietro stopped all 28 Nashville shots as the Boston Bruins beat the Predators 6-0 at TD Garden on Thursday, Oct. 22. Boston scored twice in each period.

Nashville coach Andrew Brunette described the performance as “our worst effort of the year by far.” He blamed repeated turnovers and lost puck battles. Captain Roman Josi said Nashville needed to respond after being outplayed from the opening period.

The Predators welcomed Mavrik Bourque back after a four-game injury absence. Justus Annunen made his first appearance of the season following time on injured reserve, while Ilya Lyubushkin played his first game for Nashville after arriving in the offseason.

Nashville finishes its two-game trip in Pittsburgh on Saturday, then returns home to face Colorado on Sunday to start a five-game homestand.
