Jason Dickinson will miss the Edmonton Oilers’ home game against the Utah Mammoth on Thursday, Oct. 15, because of a leg injury, Sportsnet reported.

The report followed his early departure from the morning skate. NHL.com said Dickinson left without taking contact and initially described his availability as questionable. Sportsnet subsequently reported that he had been ruled out.

Dickinson missed Edmonton’s first three games this season following a setback in his recovery from a lower-leg injury. He returned for the next three games and recorded one assist. It has not been established whether Thursday’s problem is related to the earlier injury.
