Hurricanes present Frederik Andersen with his Stanley Cup ring in Edmonton
Carolina’s former goaltender received his championship ring from Eric Tulsky in the visitors’ dressing room at Rogers Place.
Frederik Andersen received his Stanley Cup championship ring from the Carolina Hurricanes in Edmonton on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The presentation reunited the goaltender with his former teammates before their Thursday game against the Oilers.
Carolina general manager Eric Tulsky gave Andersen the ring in the visitors’ dressing room at Rogers Place. In video shared by the Hurricanes, coach Rod Brind’Amour spoke about the bond between Andersen and the team before Tulsky handed over the box.
Andersen opened it and put on the ring as the players applauded. He thanked the group and said he had avoided looking at photographs online because he wanted to see the ring in person.
Andersen spent five seasons with Carolina before joining Edmonton as a free agent in July.
