Canadiens Lock Up Zachary Bolduc For Four Years
The 23-year-old forward gets a four-year deal worth $16.8 million coming off his entry-level contract.
Zachary Bolduc is staying in Montreal. The Canadiens forward signed a four-year contract worth $16.8 million, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Sunday, a deal that carries a $4.2 million annual cap hit.
Bolduc, 23, was coming off his entry-level contract. The Trois-Rivieres, Que., native put up 12 goals and 30 points in 78 games in his first season with the Canadiens, then added three goals and seven points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Montreal acquired him from the St. Louis Blues for defenseman Logan Mailloux on July 1, 2025.
The Bolduc deal closes out a busy weekend for the Canadiens. On Saturday, the club announced a one-year contract with veteran forward Chris Kreider. Kreider, 35, produced 50 points in 75 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season and reached the 20-goal mark for an eighth straight year.
After the Kreider announcement, Bolduc and defenseman Arber Xhekaj were the names still on Montreal's to-do list. One of the two is now handled.
