Jacob Fowler recorded a personal NHL best of 46 saves as Montreal won 2-0 in St. Louis on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The Canadiens goaltender earned his sixth consecutive victory and his second shutout of the season.

Zachary Bolduc opened the scoring at 8:37 of the second period, finishing a pass from Mike Matheson with a one-timer. It was Bolduc’s first goal against the Blues, his former team.

Florian Xhekaj scored his first NHL goal at 2:17 of the third. After redirecting Matheson’s shot, he tipped the puck again behind Jordan Binnington. Officials upheld the goal following a review for a high stick.

Matheson had an assist on both goals. Binnington finished with 19 saves for St. Louis, which was shut out for the second game in a row.
