Canadiens' Guhle Out Four to Five Weeks After Adductor Surgery

Montreal says the 24-year-old defenseman had a minor procedure over the summer and is expected to miss the start of the season.

Kaiden Guhle is expected to be out four to five weeks after undergoing minor surgery on an adductor muscle over the summer, the Canadiens announced Wednesday. The timeline is expected to keep the defenseman out for the start of the regular season.

The procedure follows an injury-plagued 2025-26 season. Guhle had surgery last November to repair a partially torn adductor and appeared in 39 regular-season games.

The 24-year-old, selected by Montreal in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft, has 18 goals and 51 assists in 208 regular-season games.

Montreal opens its season September 29 in Toronto against the Maple Leafs.
