Arvidsson’s hat trick leads Red Wings past Blackhawks 4-1
Viktor Arvidsson added an assist as Detroit erased a first-period deficit against Chicago.
Viktor Arvidsson scored three goals and assisted on Detroit’s other goal in a 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday at Little Caesars Arena.
Connor Bedard gave Chicago the lead in the first period. Arvidsson tied the game in the second, and Lucas Raymond put Detroit ahead on the power play 1:09 into the third.
Arvidsson scored again at 15:26 and completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal at 16:45. John Gibson finished with 18 saves for the Red Wings.
Detroit played without Dylan Larkin, whom the club suspended without pay earlier Thursday after he said he no longer wanted to play for the organization.
