Tarasov set to return for Red Wings against former club Florida
Detroit’s goalie is scheduled for his first appearance since Oct. 20 after an undisclosed injury.
Daniil Tarasov is set to return to the Detroit Red Wings’ net against his former team, the Florida Panthers, on Monday, according to Detroit’s official preview. He has not played since Oct. 20 because of an undisclosed injury.
The game at Amerant Bank Arena begins at 7 p.m. ET and opens a back-to-back set in Florida for Detroit.
The Red Wings enter at 6-5-3 after losing 5-4 to St. Louis on Saturday. They surrendered two separate two-goal leads in that game. Coach Todd McLellan said the team had addressed the loss and needed to improve its response in similar situations.
Florida is 8-4-2 and has won three consecutive games. McLellan said Detroit would need to handle the Panthers’ aggressive pressure and begin the game well.
