Seth Jarvis could return for Hurricanes this weekend

Carolina’s forward still needs medical clearance after shoulder surgery in June, Rod Brind’Amour told NHL.com.

The Carolina Hurricanes could have Seth Jarvis back in their lineup this weekend, although coach Rod Brind’Amour said the forward was still awaiting medical clearance.

Jarvis has yet to play this season following shoulder surgery in June, according to NHL.com’s Oct. 16 status report.

Brind’Amour expressed hope that Jarvis would play during Carolina’s upcoming road trip, while making clear that a decision would follow clearance.

Carolina starts the five-game trip against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, Oct. 17, before visiting the Calgary Flames on Sunday.
