Travis Green will remain the Ottawa Senators’ head coach through the end of the 2030-31 season after signing a multiyear extension announced by the club on Monday, Oct. 19.

Ottawa also extended assistant coaches Nolan Baumgartner, Ben Sexton and Mike Yeo, along with goaltending coach Justin Peters. The club described those agreements as multiyear deals without giving their end dates.

General manager Steve Staios said Green had put systems and structures in place that reinforced his confidence in the coach. He said they shared a vision for the team’s development.

Green was hired on May 7, 2024, becoming the 14th head coach in Senators history. He took Ottawa to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons. The club said his 95th win with Ottawa, earned last Thursday, tied him for fifth among its coaches.

The Senators have won six of their first nine games this season. Their next game is at home against Florida on Wednesday.
