Ottawa Senators captain Thomas Chabot is expected to be sidelined for one to two weeks with an upper-body injury, coach Travis Green said Monday.

Chabot did not play in the third period of Saturday’s 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. He had briefly left during the second period before returning, Sportsnet reported.

Green said Monday that Chabot had already been dealing with the injury before Saturday, according to Sportsnet. The coach said Chabot had finished an earlier game with the problem and initially thought he could keep playing.
