PWHL expands active rosters to 24 and increases minimum salaries
The league and its players’ association announced the changes for the 2026-27 season on Thursday.

PWHL clubs will be able to carry 24 players on their active rosters in 2026-27, up from 23, under an agreement announced Thursday by the league and the PWHL Players Association. The agreement also increases minimum annual salaries.
With the league growing from eight teams to 12, the two changes will provide 104 more full active roster positions than last season, the joint statement said.
Training camps open Nov. 18. The regular season begins Dec. 5.
