NHL Network will air a four-hour edition of NHL Tonight on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. ET to mark the programme's 5,000th episode since its move to Secaucus, N.J., in October 2015. NHL Network announced the special on Oct. 20.

Jamison Coyle, Tony Luftman, Mike Johnson, Mike Rupp and Kevin Weekes will anchor the broadcast. All were part of the original Secaucus team.

The special will combine game coverage and analysis with guests and a look back at the show's first 11 seasons at those studios.

Earlier that day, E.J. Hradek and Michael Del Zotto host NHL Tonight: First Shift at 4 p.m. ET. NHL Now follows at 5 p.m. ET with Kathryn Tappen, Brian Boyle and Nate Thompson. Both programmes will also recognise the milestone.
