Myatovic set for NHL debut as Ducks visit Vancouver
The British Columbia forward joins Anaheim after recording eight points in 11 games for San Diego.
Nico Myatovic is set to play his first NHL game Tuesday when the Anaheim Ducks visit the Vancouver Canucks, the Ducks said in their game preview. The British Columbia native will have family and friends at Rogers Arena for the occasion.
Anaheim recalled the left winger from the San Diego Gulls on Monday and placed A.J. Greer on injured reserve because of an upper-body injury. Myatovic had five goals and three assists in 11 AHL games this season, sharing the Gulls’ lead in goals.
The Ducks selected Myatovic in the second round of the 2023 draft. His debut comes at the beginning of Anaheim’s three-game Canadian trip, with the Vancouver game scheduled for 6 p.m. PT.
