Kraken Hire Chuck Fletcher as Senior Advisor to GM
Seattle adds a front-office veteran with more than three decades of NHL experience and previous GM tenures in Florida, Minnesota and Philadelphia.
The Seattle Kraken hired Chuck Fletcher as senior advisor to the general manager, the team announced Wednesday.
Fletcher, 59, brings more than three decades of NHL front-office experience. He joined the Florida Panthers during their 1993 expansion season, oversaw several of the organization's American Hockey League affiliates and later served as Florida's general manager for 56 games through 2002.
He then worked as an assistant general manager with the Anaheim Ducks and Pittsburgh Penguins before serving as general manager of the Minnesota Wild from 2009 to 2018 and the Philadelphia Flyers from 2018 to 2023. He is one of 30 general managers since the NHL's 1967 expansion to oversee 1,000 regular-season games.
Fletcher most recently worked for the New Jersey Devils as a senior advisor, a role he began in 2024.
Seattle is coming off a 35-41-6 season that left the Kraken 13th in the Western Conference.
