The NHL has moved up the start time for the New York Islanders' visit to the New York Rangers on Oct. 6, pushing the opening faceoff to 7:30 p.m. ET instead of the previously set 8 p.m.

The league announced the change as part of a broader set of start-time adjustments to the 2026-27 schedule. It was the only Islanders game affected.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
