Taylor Hall is week to week with an upper-body injury, Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour said Friday, Oct. 16. "We've got kind of a week-to-week situation happening," Brind’Amour said. "So ask me again in a week."
Hall left during the second period of Tuesday’s 4-2 victory over the Washington Capitals at Lenovo Center and did not return, according to the NHL’s game recap. Sportsnet reported that he briefly returned to the ice for a power-play shift before leaving again. After that game, Brind’Amour said the injury "doesn’t look good."
The 34-year-old forward has three goals and two assists in eight games this season and is three games shy of 1,000 in the NHL. Carolina is also without captain Jordan Staal, who is expected to miss one to two months with a torn calf muscle.
