The Vancouver Goldeneyes have signed Caroline "KK" Harvey, the first overall pick in the 2026 PWHL Draft, to a three-year Standard Player Agreement that runs through the 2028-29 season. The team announced the deal Tuesday.

Harvey is the second of Vancouver's five draft picks to sign, joining goaltender Katie DeSa. Her signing brings the Goldeneyes to 19 players under contract for 2026-27.

"KK is an incredibly accomplished defender whose achievements speak for themselves, and we are excited for her to bring her trademark speed and dynamic playing style to our roster," said Alison Izzi, the Goldeneyes' general manager.

The 23-year-old from Salem, N.H., arrives off a senior season at Wisconsin in which she put up 64 points in 33 games, won a national championship and took home the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. She was also named WCHA Player of the Year and Defender of the Year, and was a First Team All-American. Over four seasons with the Badgers she recorded 201 points (54 goals, 147 assists) in 147 games and was part of three national title teams.

Her February was just as loaded. Harvey was named MVP, Best Defender and a Tournament All-Star at the Milan Olympics, where the United States won gold. She led the tournament with seven assists and tied Megan Keller for the points lead with nine. She also won silver at Beijing 2022 and owns five World Championship medals.

"When I first visited the city after I was drafted, I could feel the excitement for the team and how much they love hockey," Harvey said. "I can't wait to get to work with my teammates, and to play in front of the Goldeneyes fans!"

Harvey joins a defence group that includes Ashton Bell, Sophie Jaques and Dominika Lásková.

The Goldeneyes are scheduled to open their second season at home against the Seattle Torrent on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Pacific Coliseum, with puck drop set for 1 p.m. local time.
