Goldeneyes add Delaney Collins to coaching staff
Vancouver names the former Canada defenceman an assistant to Cara Gardner Morey for the 2026-27 PWHL season.
The Vancouver Goldeneyes named Delaney Collins an assistant coach on Oct. 1, adding her to Cara Gardner Morey's staff for the 2026-27 PWHL season. Collins has led Hungary's national women's team since 2025.
The Pilot Mound, Man., native earned three gold medals among her five World Championship medals as a Canada defenceman. Her coaching career includes a five-year stint at Mercyhurst University from 2011 to 2016, during which the team made the Frozen Four twice.
Collins has previously coached two current Goldeneyes with Canada's under-18 team: goaltender Kristen Campbell in 2015 and defenceman Ashton Bell in 2017. She began working with Hungary in 2021-22 and assisted at four World Championships before becoming head coach.
Gardner Morey praised Collins' international experience and creativity. Collins said she was drawn to "the potential of this group of players and the culture that has already been established in Vancouver."
Myles Fitzgerald remains an assistant coach, Joey Ali coaches the goaltenders, Shannon MacAulay leads strength and conditioning, and Andrew Boucher handles video. Alison Izzi is Vancouver's general manager.
