Ducks Sign Marcus Nordmark to Three-Year Entry-Level Deal

The Anaheim Ducks signed left wing Marcus Nordmark to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced. Terms were not disclosed.

Nordmark, 18, was selected 28th overall by Anaheim in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft on June 27 in Buffalo. The Ducks acquired the pick by trading the 29th and 117th overall selections to the Vegas Golden Knights to move up one spot.

The Stockholm native spent most of the 2025-26 season with Djurgarden Jr. in Sweden's top junior league, recording 14 goals and 38 points in 25 games. That total ranked sixth among under-18 players in the league. He also appeared in eight games with Djurgarden's professional team in the Swedish Hockey League, collecting one assist and becoming one of just three 17-year-olds to record a point in the SHL that season.

Nordmark helped Sweden win gold at the 2026 U-18 World Championship. He also earned silver at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he led the tournament with 12 points in five games, the sixth-most points in tournament history.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound winger is the son of Robert Nordmark, who was drafted by St. Louis in 1987 and played 236 NHL games with the Blues and Vancouver Canucks. His brothers, Eric and Steven, currently play professional hockey in Sweden.

Anaheim originally entered the 2026 draft without a first-round pick but acquired two selections, 15th and 29th overall, from St. Louis in exchange for center Mason McTavish. The Ducks used the 15th pick on Michigan State commit Ilya Klepov before trading up to grab Nordmark at 28th.
