Blues chairman Stillman condemns antisemitic protest at Thursday's game

Tom Stillman says banners displayed at the Oct. 22 game were confiscated and the individuals ejected after an investigation.

Blues chairman and governor Tom Stillman has condemned the antisemitic protest that took place at St. Louis's game on Thursday, Oct. 22, calling the messages "unfortunate and unforgivable."

The team issued the statement following an investigation of the incident. Stillman said the "vile messages of hate" were displayed only briefly and are "not remotely representative of our fans or our hometown."

He said arena staff and local law enforcement responded immediately to confiscate the prohibited banners and eject the individuals responsible.

"The St. Louis Blues organization, and I personally, condemn antisemitic rhetoric in all forms," Stillman said. "Antisemitism has no place in our community, and we will never allow it in our building."

The statement did not detail what the banners said or how many people were removed.
