Matty Beniers says living with Seattle Kraken teammates Mackie Samoskevich and Berkly Catton has helped him put difficult games behind him. In a new NHL.com interview, the centre described having company at home as a way to stop dwelling on plays that went wrong.

Beniers said the three can discuss a game together and then turn their attention elsewhere. He still sets demanding standards for his performances, but believes sharing the experience with teammates makes it easier to move on when he falls short.

Catton told NHL.com that the arrangement also gives him a chance to spend time with friends away from the rink. The group uses a cook who provides meals, he said.

The living arrangement was also reported earlier this month by The Seattle Times, in coverage of Seattle's home opener distributed by Tribune Content Agency. That report identified Beniers' house as the home the three players share.
