USA Hockey has announced that Amanda Kessel is part of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame's Class of 2026.

She goes in alongside her brother, Phil Kessel, plus T.J. Oshie, Ryan Suter and Stan Wong. The induction celebration is set for November 30, 2026 in Washington, D.C.

"You don't have to look far in our sport to find someone whose life was touched by one of these five," USA Hockey president Mike Trimboli said of the class. "Their extraordinary contributions will be felt for generations to come, and it is with great pride that we welcome them among the all-time greats of the sport in our country."

Kessel went to three Olympics, winning silver in 2014 and 2022 and gold in 2018. At the World Championship she collected four golds and three silvers, putting up 59 points in 43 games.

Her junior resume still sits atop the record book. Kessel won U18 World Championship gold in 2008 and 2009, and her 19 points in five games at the 2009 tournament remains the single-tournament record. She is also that event's all-time assists leader.

She won three national championships at Minnesota. In 2013 she received the Patty Kazmaier Award as the best player in NCAA women's hockey, and that year USA Hockey also named her its Bob Allen Women's Player of the Year following a 101-point season in 37 games.

Kessel played professionally in the NWHL and with the PWHPA. She was selected by the Montréal Victoire in the PWHL Draft but opted not to play. Since 2022 she has worked on the hockey operations staff of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and currently serves as director of minor league operations and assistant general manager of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL.
