Warrior QR7 Pro and LX3 Pro Split at Cuff and Backhand

Warrior's Covert QR7 Pro and Alpha LX3 Pro senior gloves share several named materials, but their published specifications describe different ways of building the cuff and backhand. The comparison is useful because the same retailer currently lists both at the same Canadian price.

On the QR7 Pro, Warrior pairs its Covert Taper Fit with an AxyFlex cuff and Lycra gussets. The company describes a fit that follows the hand and wrist, with an anatomical stretch backhand. Warrior says the cuff is designed to allow wrist movement while maintaining slash protection. Those are manufacturer claims, rather than results from testing by The Lab.

The LX3 Pro uses Warrior's Hybrid Taper Fit and Pro Cuff. Its specification lists responsive mesh gussets, three-piece fingers and an AxyFlex thumb. Warrior also lists moulded foam with strategically placed ventilation openings, which it says are intended to keep hands cool and dry.

The backhand is another documented distinction. Both specifications name three-layer Tri-Lam foam, including HD VN and IXPE, with plastic inserts in the backhand, cuff and fingers. The LX3 Pro additionally lists a moulded Space Shield 2.0 on the backhand. That construction detail does not establish how much impact protection either glove provides in a particular collision, or prove a measured advantage over the QR7 Pro.

There is common ground at the palm and thumb. Both list Pro Palm X, an Ax Suede palm with embossed grip, plus an AxyFlex thumb and War-Tech liner. Shared technology names do not establish identical overall fit or performance.

The Hockey Shop lists each senior glove at CA$284.99. That is a listing from one seller, and price and stock can change by colour and size.

Neither a fresh retailer review nor this comparison establishes a new launch date. The distinction here is the documented build of two equivalent senior glove models, not an on-ice ranking.
