CCM Tacks 310 2026 Changes Its Liner and Foam Package
The senior helmet lists R3FLEX and a moulded liner, while the earlier Tacks 310 specifies I.Q.Shion and D3O.
CCM has kept the Tacks 310 name for its 2026 helmet, but its published construction has changed. The senior HT310V26-SR lists R3FLEX Protection and a full coverage 3D moulded liner with dual density foams. CCM's earlier HT310-SR page instead identifies I.Q.Shion foam and D3O. Checking the model code matters when both generations are still listed for sale.
CCM describes the current liner as conforming to the head for a cushioned fit and says its R3FLEX and dual density foam package manages impacts in key areas. Ice Warehouse identifies the liner material as dual density EVA and describes R3FLEX as a three in one foam construction. Those are construction descriptions and manufacturer performance claims, rather than evidence that this version prevents more injuries than its predecessor.
The 2026 model also lists a ventilated construction and a single adjustment that changes length and width without tools. Ice Warehouse identifies a rear adjustment panel and lists 17 vents. The retailer reports 553 grams for a senior medium helmet without a cage, with its stated five per cent measurement variance. That weight applies to the specified configuration, not every size or a helmet and cage combination.
On 22 October 2026, CCM's Canadian store listed the black medium senior helmet, SKU 683978397039, at CA$199.99 with ordering enabled. The matching configuration was US$189.99 with ordering enabled at CCM US. Ice Warehouse also listed its black medium regular width helmet at US$189.99 in stock. These observations cover those configurations at those sellers on that date.
The helmet and cage package is a separate purchase. Ice Warehouse lists the senior HT310V26C-SR combination at US$239.99 with a CCM FM580 carbon steel cage and a dual density foam chin cup. Its black medium combination was also in stock on the same date. Comparing the helmet alone with another helmet alone keeps both the price and weight reference meaningful.
