Warrior Answer Separates Shoulder Grip From Shaft Movement
The goalie stick pairs an asymmetrical shaft and low-kick profile with a textured shoulder and matte shaft finish.
Warrior’s Answer goalie stick combines an asymmetrical shaft with a low-kick flex profile and two different grip surfaces. The shaft shape is the central construction feature: Warrior says it gives the lower hand more control and leverage while directing the stick’s flex towards a quick release on passes.
The brand uses Minimus Carbon 25, a flat, spread-tow carbon weave designed to reduce fibre crimp and deformation within the composite layers. Warrior describes the construction as thin and light, while presenting strength and resistance to puck impacts as intended benefits. Those are manufacturer claims about the build.
SlideGrip divides the contact surfaces. The shoulder is textured for additional grip, while the shaft has a matte finish intended to reduce friction as the blocker hand moves into shooting or pokecheck positions. Hi-Fused construction is intended to give the stick a balanced feel for blocker-hand movements.
Warrior calls the Answer its lightest goalie stick and gives a 550 g figure without identifying a paddle size in that guide. Ice Warehouse separately lists 550 g for a 26-inch paddle and says its own measurements have a 5% variance. The size and measurement source matter when comparing that figure with another stick.
Ice Warehouse lists 23, 24, 25 and 26-inch paddles and the W33 mid-twist curve. On 1 October 2026, it showed the black, Regular, W33 25-inch option in stock at US$369.99. The Hockey Shop listed the senior stick at CA$429.99, with Black / Twist / L-25-inch marked available in its product data. That Canadian listing identifies L as the blade direction, for a goalie holding the stick in the right hand.
This is a sourced construction report. Hockey.com has not measured the stick or tested its passing, balance or durability on the ice.
