True Catalyst Nitro Pro Goalie Pads List at $2,099.99 US
True's top-priced 2026 goalie pad pairs a Super Critical Foam core with a patented post connection toe bridge, and reaches buyers mainly as a custom build at $2,099.99 USD for a senior pair.
The True Catalyst Nitro Pro is new for 2026, and Sports Etc's listing describes an optimized pad face built to maximize rebound power and control. True Sports' own goalie customizer lists Catalyst Nitro Pro as a current leg pad model, alongside the L87 Nitro Pro, L95-PX4 and HZRDUS PX4.
Three elements carry the update. A new foam True calls SCF, which The Hockey Shop spells out as a Super Critical Foam core, reduces pad weight while amplifying rebound performance; GoalieMonkey's copy says the foams cut weight compared with previous Catalyst pads. The patented Post Connection System toe bridge is designed to optimize post seal and improve energy transfer in the RVH position. An adjustable stiffness knee stack lets a goalie tighten or loosen an integrated strap to reach a desired stiffness without swapping pads.
Strapping runs through the Fast Rotation System, located on the calf, which uses double internal adjustable straps for increased stability and even weight distribution. Sports Etc's description cites a thinner thigh rise carried on a composite core, which The Hockey Shop lists as composite reinforced. Just Hockey Toronto lists a Diamond Glide inner edge. On GoalieMonkey's builder, Diamond Glide is offered on the leg pads only, with the blocker and catch glove taking the same color in solid material.
No retailer listing checked publishes a weight for the pad, and GoalieCoaches reports that the weight is not officially published.
Price
GoalieMonkey lists the senior custom leg pads at $2,099.99 USD, the matching glove at $669.99 and the blocker at $559.99, with the three-piece senior combo at $3,329.99. In Canada, The Hockey Shop and Just Hockey Toronto both list the senior pair at CA$2,499.99. Sports Etc lists the pad with no posted price.
Goalie Pad Guide calls it the most expensive pad in True's own catalog and scores it 5 for mobility, 5 for rebound and 5 for comfort, against 4 for durability, 4 for sliding and 2 for value. That site puts the step-down 9X3 Pro at $1,499. Its own base figure for the Nitro Pro, $2,199, sits above the $2,099.99 the US retailers actually list.
Availability
Retail stock is thin. The Hockey Shop lists senior 32+2, 33+2, 34+2 and 35+2 in Black, White, White/Black and White/Royal, with every variant currently unavailable. Just Hockey Toronto shows a single senior unit in White 32+2, with the rest sold out. Sports Etc lists senior 32+2, 33+1, 33+2 and 34+2 in White.
The main route to a pair is a custom order. GoalieMonkey's configurator runs color and material selections zone by zone, then spec choices covering break core and thigh rise stiffness, outer roll, boot angle, boot flex, leg strap, knee zone and toe attachment.
