TRUE Catalyst Nitro Goalie Stick Changes Explained
TRUE pairs an INVRT flex profile with paddle vibration suppression, while retailer listings put its senior goalie stick at CA$399.99 and US$339.99.
TRUE's Catalyst NITRO goalie stick centres its design on two jobs: moving the puck and managing feedback from saves. [TRUE's product page](https://www.true-sports.com/en-ca/catalyst-nitro-goalie-stick-junior-2.html) identifies an INVRT four-point flex profile, paddle vibration suppression and a redesigned paddle face, giving goalies specific construction changes to evaluate rather than a new name alone.
What TRUE says has changed
According to [TRUE](https://www.true-sports.com/en-ca/catalyst-nitro-goalie-stick-junior-2.html), the INVRT profile is paired with its Vibration Suppression System, or VSS, in the paddle. The company says redesigned paddle face flags reduce weight while improving strength. Its senior specification also lists a square shaft with a standard shoulder and the T31 pattern. These are manufacturer descriptions; The Lab has not tested the stick's release, comfort or durability on the ice.
[Ice Warehouse](https://www.icewarehouse.com/True_Catalyst_Nitro/descpage-NITGS.html) identifies the Catalyst 9X4 as the Nitro's predecessor. Its technical description highlights a new foam core and tighter laminate compaction as the construction change, attributing improved strength and reduced weight to that material. That is a retailer explanation, not an independently established durability gain.
Weight and buying details
[Ice Warehouse](https://www.icewarehouse.com/True_Catalyst_Nitro/descpage-NITGS.html) reports 555 g for a 26-inch paddle and says its weights and measurements allow a five per cent variance. That size matters: the number should not be read as a measured weight for every paddle length.
On September 30, 2026, [Ice Warehouse](https://www.icewarehouse.com/True_Catalyst_Nitro/descpage-NITGS.html) listed the T31 regular-hand stick at US$339.99, with 23-, 24-, 25- and 26-inch paddles shown in stock; the 27-inch option carried a seven-day availability message. Its [payment policy](https://www.icewarehouse.com/int/) confirms that orders are processed in US dollars. In Canada, [Skater's Edge Source for Sports](https://skatersedgecanada.com/products/true-hockey-catalyst-nitro-senior-goalie-stick-left-new) listed the senior stick at CA$399.99. Canadian stock should be checked for the exact colour and paddle combination rather than inferred from the US listing.
For a buying comparison, match the paddle size first, then weigh the claimed construction changes against those two retailer prices. The verified specifications support a closer look at the Nitro; they do not establish that it will outlast a previous stick.
