CCM's Tacks XR Pro Goalie Skate Ships With Pitch Ground In
The runner comes cut to a 10F27 profile that retailer listings say encourages a forward-leaning stance, and every spec here comes from those listings.
The CCM Tacks XR Pro is a senior goalie skate, and at $869.99 it is the most expensive CCM senior goalie skate listed at GoalieMonkey, sitting above every EFLEX model on the same page. It carries the Tacks XR name, but CCM's own Tacks XR collection page covers player gear only and lists no goalie skate, so read this as its own product rather than a goalie version of the player boot.
The pitch is the story. The runner ships cut to a 10F27 profile. The Goalies Plus listing says the 10F27 "will also provide a more aggressive, forward leaning position for the goalie," and GoalieMonkey's copy says the combination "encourages a reactive forward-leaning stance." That is retailer and brand language rather than anything skated on here, but the profile itself is stock, so there is nothing to order and nothing to add after the fact.
The rest of the build, per the two retailer spec sheets: a goalie-specific toe cap that GoalieMonkey calls new for the XR Pro, combining a lower profile with high-strength construction. A FlexMotion tongue with ADPT memory foam, padded to minimize lace bite, which matters on a skate built around forward flex. A boot pairing reactive lightweight materials with rigid ergonomic shaping for a close-to-foot fit. Pro Pulse insoles underfoot. Steel is plus 3mm Black Step Steel with a diamond-like carbon coating, held in a Speedblade XSG holder with a metal pin-lock quick release. Goalies Plus lists 1.9 pounds per skate based on a size 7, a figure that appears at one retailer only.
Price is the cleanest part of the story. The $869.99 figure shows at GoalieMonkey on both the product page and the CCM senior goalie category listing, and again at Goalies Plus. Neither retailer displays an MSRP, a was price, or a discount, while several EFLEX models on that same GoalieMonkey page are marked 30 percent off. Treat $869.99 as the street price, not a list to negotiate down from. GoalieMonkey lists senior sizes 7 to 13, and Goalies Plus was showing 7 through 11 at the time of writing.
One caveat worth stating plainly. Everything above is retailer-sourced. CCM's own site had no loadable goalie skate page for the XR Pro, so no spec here is confirmed direct from the brand.
