CCM's $549.99 Tacks X Pro Tops Its Player Helmet List
CCM prices the Tacks X Pro above every other player helmet it sells, and the measured specs that justify the number come from a retailer, not from CCM.
CCM lists the Tacks X Pro Helmet Senior at $549.99 USD under model ID HTXPRO-SR, in Black, White, Navy and Red across sizes S, M and L. CCM's own product endpoint returns all three senior sizes as in stock at that price.
That figure sits at the top of CCM's player helmet range. Across the 57 products on CCM's US helmet index, no other player helmet is listed higher. The next ones down are the Tacks 920 Combo at $449.99 and the FTW Combo at $419.99, both of which ship with a cage, then the Tacks 920 and the Super Tacks X at $399.99 each and the FTW at $369.99. The Super Tacks X figure is a markdown, and CCM shows its original price as $499.99. Two goalie masks on the same index carry higher prices, the AXIS XF at $1,049.99 and the AXIS F9 at $599.99, but neither is a player helmet.
CCM's spec copy names four systems and gives no numbers at all. NEST TECH FLUX is a 3D-printed full coverage liner that CCM says is engineered to cradle the head, help manage impacts and aid multidirectional airflow. Beneath it sits R3FLEX Protection, which CCM describes as a base layer of its 3-in-1 foam with dynamic response to all types of impacts. AER-TEC covers thermoregulation, and ADPTFIT360 is a tool-free system that adjusts helmet length and width in one step at the back. CCM's page lists no weight, no vent count and no certification.
Ice Warehouse, which sells the helmet at the same $549.99 under model number HTXPRO, publishes the measured detail CCM omits. The retailer lists the shell as 2-piece HDPE with side reinforcement, counts 13 vents, and records HECC and CSA certifications. Its weight figure is 625 grams in medium, with the site noting that all products are independently weighed and measured at IW Hockey with a 5 percent variance. Ice Warehouse also describes the Nest Tech Flux liner as an adaptive elastomer lattice, and states that R3Flex delivers up to 14 percent better protection compared to previous Tacks models. That percentage is the retailer's, and it is applied to the foam layer rather than to the helmet as a whole. CCM's own product page makes no percentage claim.
Ice Warehouse currently shows all twelve combinations of the four colors and three sizes in stock.
