CCM Jetspeed FT9 Pro Revises the Blade to Shaft Connection
NEOSENSE FUZE is the centre of the current JetSpeed update, while the senior stick retains ALUPLI construction and a hybrid kickpoint.
CCM's Jetspeed FT9 Pro puts the connection between the blade and shaft at the centre of its current hybrid-kick design. The senior specification sheet calls that connection NEOSENSE FUZE, and Ice Warehouse identifies the redesigned hosel as the main change from the FT8 Pro.
CCM describes a continuous connection intended to carry feedback from the blade through the shaft. Ice Warehouse says the revised construction links puck feel and shot response across the stick. Those are the manufacturer's and retailer's descriptions of the design, rather than a finding from Hockey.com's own ice test.
The senior FT9 Pro also uses a Dual-Control blade: an X-Soft heel transitions into a stiff toe. The heel is intended for puck reception and handling, while CCM places the shooting emphasis at the toe. A hybrid kickpoint, rounded R shaft geometry and raised FT Microfeel grip remain part of the package.
ALUPLI construction combines aluminium layers and carbon fibres in the senior shaft. That material is not exclusive to the FT9 Pro: CCM's current FT8 Pro senior page also lists ALUPLI and a softer heel with a stiff toe. The hosel update deserves attention without treating every carried-over feature as a new invention.
Ice Warehouse reports 361 grams for its 85-flex configuration, with a stated five per cent measurement variance. The figure describes that configuration, not every stick sold under the FT9 name.
On October 1, CCM's US senior page listed US$389.99. Ice Warehouse showed the senior 85-flex P29 left- and right-hand variants in stock at the same price. Other curves, sizes and colour versions require their own stock check.
The verified update is the redesigned connection within a familiar hybrid-kick platform. These specifications concern the senior model.
