The Philadelphia Flyers visit the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday, Oct. 15, still seeking their first win of the season. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET and will stream on ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+.

Philadelphia is 0-5-3 through eight games, with 10 goals scored. On Tuesday, Christian Dvorak and Trevor Zegras scored 73 seconds apart in the third period to erase a two-goal deficit against Seattle, before the Flyers lost 3-2 in a shootout. Coach Rick Tocchet described the comeback as something his team could build on, Field Level Media reported.

The Flyers have conceded the opening goal in seven of eight games and have been outscored 7-2 in first periods. Their power play is 2-for-24, ranking 31st in the NHL, according to the club’s preview.

Cam York and Rasmus Ristolainen did not travel to Detroit and will miss their fourth and fifth games, respectively. Oliver Bonk and David Jiricek have entered the lineup. Travis Konecny leads Philadelphia with three points despite missing its previous two games.

Detroit enters at 1-3-2 after going 0-1-2 in its past three games. The Red Wings lost 5-4 in overtime to New Jersey on Tuesday. Their penalty kill has stopped 14 of 21 opportunities, ranking 28th.

Alex DeBrincat scored twice and added an assist against the Devils. His four goals and eight points lead Detroit, Field Level Media reported.
