Walker's slick pass sets up Stankoven's first NHL hat trick

Logan Stankoven's first NHL hat trick started with a pass that slipped under a defender's leg.

Carolina defenceman Sean Walker took the puck up the right side on a 2-on-1 rush against Vancouver on Thursday. Canucks defenceman Filip Hronek slid across to cut off the lane, but Walker sent the puck through the small gap between Hronek's knee and skate, right onto Stankoven's tape. It was the first of Stankoven's three goals on the night.

The game also brought Stankoven his 100th NHL point.
