Sirens sign Emma Peschel through 2028-29
New York’s seventh overall selection is the first member of its 2026 draft class to sign.

Emma Peschel has signed a three-year contract with the New York Sirens, the PWHL club announced Wednesday. The agreement runs through the 2028-29 season.
New York selected the defender seventh overall in June’s PWHL draft. She is the first of the team’s six 2026 selections to sign.
Peschel arrives from Ohio State, where she finished her senior season with 10 goals and 29 assists in 34 games. The Hockey Writers’ review of New York’s draft class noted that her 39 points were a collegiate career high.
With the signing, the Sirens said they have 20 players under contract from their 29-player training camp roster, including seven defenders.
