Senators assign Kurtis MacDermid to Belleville

The forward has been recovering from an upper-body injury and has not played this season.

The Ottawa Senators sent Kurtis MacDermid to their AHL affiliate in Belleville on Sunday, the club announced.

MacDermid has yet to play this season while recovering from an upper-body injury sustained during the offseason. Ottawa’s announcement did not say when he would make his first appearance.

He joined Ottawa in an Oct. 3, 2025, trade with the New Jersey Devils. In 19 games for the Senators last season, MacDermid recorded one assist and 33 penalty minutes, averaging 4:12 of ice time.
