Johansson to make first Senators start as Burakovsky returns

Travis Green confirmed Jonas Johansson in goal against the Rangers on Saturday, with Andre Burakovsky replacing Hayden Hodgson.

Jonas Johansson will make his first start for the Ottawa Senators against the New York Rangers on Saturday, Oct. 24, coach Travis Green told reporters, according to Sportsnet. Andre Burakovsky will return to the lineup in place of Hayden Hodgson.

The game at Canadian Tire Centre begins at 7 p.m. ET. Burakovsky has not played since Oct. 17, Sportsnet reported.

Ottawa recalled Johansson from Belleville on Thursday after Linus Ullmark was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. The Senators acquired Johansson during training camp; he appeared in 25 games for Tampa Bay last season.

Green also said captain Thomas Chabot would accompany Ottawa on its upcoming five-game road trip with the expectation that he would return to the lineup, Sportsnet reported. Chabot has missed the past two games with an upper-body injury.
