Sceptres draft pick Emerson O'Leary retires before camp
The fifth-round pick out of Princeton will not report to Toronto and has taken a job outside hockey, according to The Hockey News.

Emerson O'Leary, a Toronto Sceptres selection in the 2026 PWHL Draft, has retired from hockey, Sportsnet reported Wednesday, citing The Hockey News's Ian Kennedy. She will not attend Toronto's training camp and has taken a job outside hockey, according to the report.
Toronto selected the former Princeton forward in the fifth round, 56th overall, according to the club's official draft list. Sportsnet reported that the reason for her retirement was unclear.
O'Leary is absent from the Sceptres' official 29-player training camp roster announced Wednesday. Camp opens Nov. 18 at Ford Performance Centre.
