Panthers loan Cooper Black to Charlotte Checkers

Florida sent the goaltender back to its AHL affiliate after he backed up Akira Schmid.

The Florida Panthers loaned goaltender Cooper Black to the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, Oct. 16, the club announced.

Black had served as Akira Schmid’s backup in Florida’s previous two games while Jacob Markstrom was sidelined by an undisclosed injury.
