Lightning Sign Luke Glendening to Training Camp PTO

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed veteran forward Luke Glendening to a professional tryout agreement Wednesday, bringing him back to the organization for training camp.

Glendening, 37, played 70 games between the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers last season. He recorded two goals and seven assists for nine points and won 52.8 percent of his faceoffs.

The center has played 934 NHL regular-season games with Detroit, Dallas, Tampa Bay, New Jersey and Philadelphia, totaling 85 goals and 175 points. He has also appeared in 60 Stanley Cup Playoff games and recorded 11 points.

Glendening previously spent two seasons with the Lightning from 2023-25. He played 158 games for Tampa Bay, scoring 14 goals and 18 points while winning 56.5 percent of his faceoffs.

Tampa Bay opens its on-ice training camp sessions Thursday with 67 players. The club also announced that center Yanni Gourde is expected to be out until December after undergoing hip surgery during the offseason.
