Lightning Open 2026 Training Camp With 67 Players
Tampa Bay begins on-ice work with three groups at TGH Ice Plex before a four-game preseason schedule.
The Tampa Bay Lightning opened on-ice training camp Thursday at TGH Ice Plex with 67 players: 37 forwards, 23 defensemen and seven goaltenders.
The roster includes Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman, Brayden Point, Andrei Vasilevskiy and offseason addition John Carlson. All practices at TGH Ice Plex are free and open to the public.
Players are divided into three groups to begin camp. Group C opened Thursday's schedule, followed by simultaneous sessions for Groups A and B. Scrimmages are added as camp progresses, and the team said the schedule is subject to change.
Tampa Bay will play four preseason games. The schedule begins Sunday against the Nashville Predators at Benchmark International Arena, followed by a Sept. 22 game in Nashville. The Lightning then host the Florida Panthers on Sept. 24 and visit Florida on Sept. 26.
