Travis Konecny marked his return to the Philadelphia Flyers with a goal and an assist in a 6-3 victory over the Utah Mammoth on Sunday. Philadelphia improved to 4-8-4 after going without a win in its previous three games.

Konecny, back after a lower-body injury cost him 10 games, broke a 1-1 tie at 1:06 of the second period. His backhand from beside the net deflected off Artem Duda’s skate and went under goalie Karel Vejmelka. He later set up Christian Dvorak for Philadelphia’s fourth goal.

Owen Tippett also returned after missing six games with an upper-body injury.

Matvei Michkov opened the scoring in the first period before Dmitri Simashev tied it for Utah. Noah Cates, Dvorak and Oliver Bonk helped the Flyers build a 5-1 lead. Cates and Dvorak each finished with a goal and an assist, while Jamie Drysdale collected three assists.

Mikhail Sergachev and Logan Cooley scored late power-play goals for the Mammoth, cutting the gap to 5-3. Cole Knuble’s empty-net goal then secured the result.

Dan Vladar made 19 saves for Philadelphia. Vejmelka stopped 15 shots for Utah, which fell to 9-6-0.
