Joey Anderson Joins Hershey Bears on Professional Tryout

Hershey confirmed the forward’s PTO as he opened camp after a 33-point season with Rockford.

Joey Anderson signed a professional tryout agreement with the Hershey Bears, the club announced Tuesday.

Anderson recorded 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points in 52 games with the Rockford IceHogs last season. Hershey lists him with 199 points in 264 career AHL games for Binghamton, Toronto and Rockford.

The forward has also played 169 NHL games with New Jersey, Toronto and Chicago, recording 19 goals and 21 assists. A professional tryout gives him a chance to compete for a place on Hershey's 2026-27 roster; it is not a regular contract.
