Jets seek to end eight-game slide against Hurricanes
Winnipeg visits Raleigh on Sunday after losing the first two games of its road trip.
The Winnipeg Jets will try to halt an eight-game winless run when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday at Lenovo Center. The game starts at 1 p.m. ET.
Winnipeg is 0-6-2 during the slide and 4-7-3 overall. Losses at Tampa Bay and Florida opened its four-game road trip. Carolina has won three straight and will finish a three-game homestand.
Jets coach Scott Arniel reunited Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi during the third period against Florida. He also used defenceman Tyrel Bauer at forward and said he could consider doing so again. Winnipeg did not practise Saturday, leaving its game-day lineup uncertain.
The Hurricanes won the teams' first meeting 3-2 on October 17. Former Jet Nikolaj Ehlers broke a third-period tie with a power-play goal.
