Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey exits against Avalanche with upper-body injury
The Winnipeg defenceman returned for one shift in the second period before leaving again, Sportsnet reported.
Josh Morrissey left the Winnipeg Jets’ game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, Oct. 7, with an upper-body injury, Sportsnet reported, citing an announcement by the team.
According to Sportsnet, Morrissey collided with the glass after missing a check near the end of the first period. He went to the dressing room, returned for one shift in the second period and then left again.
Morrissey, 31, entered the game with three assists in Winnipeg’s first three games. He finished the 2025-26 regular season with 55 points — 14 goals and 41 assists — in 77 games, with a plus-six rating.
