Joel Hofer turned aside all 25 Dallas shots as the St. Louis Blues opened their season with a 4-0 road win at American Airlines Center on Friday, Oct. 2.

Mason McTavish scored 1:34 into his first regular-season game with St. Louis, finishing a loose puck after Jake Oettinger stopped Colton Parayko's shot. Dalibor Dvorsky doubled the lead at 13:05 of the second period after Pius Suter intercepted Oettinger's pass behind the net and Philip Broberg set up the finish.

Adam Jiricek's apparent power-play goal at 1:06 of the third period was overturned following Dallas' successful offside challenge. Jimmy Snuggerud and Suter then scored into an empty net at 17:37 and 17:52, respectively. Both finished with a goal and an assist, while Oettinger made 20 saves.

Tyler Seguin returned to the Stars' lineup for his first game since Dec. 2, 2025, after an ACL injury in his right knee.
