Hebig scores twice as Tucson rallies past Ontario 3-2

Kevin Rooney scored the third-period winner as the Roadrunners completed a weekend sweep.

Cameron Hebig brought Tucson back from a two-goal deficit with a pair of second-period goals Saturday, helping the Roadrunners defeat the Ontario Reign 3-2 at Toyota Arena.

Kevin Rooney broke the tie at 11:23 of the third period. Michael Hrabal made 19 saves for Tucson, which finished a two-game sweep in Ontario.

Hebig scored at 11:35 and 15:18 of the second period, with his tying goal coming on the power play. Ontario had built its lead on goals from Aatu Jämsen and Cole Guttman.

Tucson has won four straight games and earned points in nine consecutive outings. Hebig also scored twice in Friday’s 5-4 win over the Reign.
